We use potatoes grown in Cornwall [see 'What's in the bag?' for more details] and try to source everything else we need as closely as possible to support other businesses in our area and reduce the environmental impact of road travel.
The Cornish Crisp is proud of its roots in more ways than just the obvious one. We are keen to share our success as we grow, with others in the county, who make us proud to be here...
The Hall for Cornwall, Surfers Against Sewage, ShelterBox, Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust and Cornwall Community Foundation have all been given a 'tater' flavour to promote their work and we'll also give them 1p for every bag we sell. 'Ashes and sparks' is a system for change that we hope many will join.
We love Cornwall's beautiful coastline and countryside and take lots of care to look after its delicate environment, so every bag reminds people that once they've enjoyed The Cornish Crisp, the bag must end up in a bin.
The Cornish Crisp is now available by mail order. Please call or to find out more.
It not only contains the much-loved attributes of The Cornish Crisp Company, including the use of Cornish potatoes, hand cooked within the county but also fuses knowhow and skills from the bakers of Warrens Bakery (the world's oldest Cornish Pasty producer) with over 150 years of potato snacking experience.
Flying the British flag with a Cornish heart, the range includes 'The Classics', a series of iconic British tastes that use natural ingredients from the region. Our new range is now the only crisp company in the world to use mineral-rich Cornish Sea Salt and also includes local Cider Vinegar and Cheddar Cheese.
As well as we have created a world-first collection of innovative new 'Meal In One Bite' taste concepts, inspired by traditional British favourites. Flavours, such as Fish and Chips, Classic English Breakfast, Roast Beef & Horseradish and Chicken Tikka Masala are shortly to be accompanied by our Traditional Cornish Pasty.
This really is the 'Best of British in a Bag'.
